The new age requirements apply across British, French, and international curricula, ensuring uniformity across most private school systems in the UAE.
Under the updated rules:
- Pre-K: Child must turn 3 by December 31
- KG1: Child must turn 4 by December 31
- KG2: Child must turn 5 by December 31
- Grade 1: Child must turn 6 by December 31
These benchmarks will be used for admissions starting from the 2026–2027 academic year.
