A major shortcut that simplifies the process for every Emirati citizen.

The UAE has introduced a new upgrade to the UAEICP system, officially merging passport renewal and Emirates ID renewal into a single digital step. This streamlined approach eliminates duplicate forms, avoids mismatched expiry dates and makes the entire renewal process faster, clearer and more user-friendly.

This update reflects the UAE’s ongoing commitment to improving government services through smart, efficient, digital-first solutions.

What’s New in the UAEICP Update

The latest UAEICP app enhancement now allows Emirati citizens to renew both their passport and Emirates ID together through one seamless online process.
Key improvements include:

  • No more separate applications

  • No repeated data entry

  • No confusion over different renewal timelines

Everything is now handled in a unified workflow inside the UAEICP app.

How the New One-Step Renewal Works

If your passport is already expired and your Emirates ID expires within six months, the system automatically gives you the option to complete both renewals together.

The process is simple:

  1. Update or confirm your personal information

  2. Upload a new photograph (if required)

  3. Pay the fees for both documents in one transaction

Once submitted, both applications are processed simultaneously, saving time and reducing documentation delays.

Why This Update Matters

This unified renewal feature ensures:

  • Faster processing times

  • More consistent expiry dates

  • Fewer errors and manual corrections

  • A smoother experience for Emiratis using UAEICP

It is one of the UAE’s most practical digital government upgrades to date, offering real convenience for citizens.
