Dubai Fitness Challenge 2026: Dates, Free Classes and Your Full 30×30 Guide

Checked on 26 October 2026.

The Dubai Fitness Challenge returns for its 10th edition on 31 October and runs to 29 November 2026. The ask is 30 minutes of activity a day for 30 days, and it is free: registration, the Fitness Villages, the community hubs and all four flagship events cost nothing.

Registration is open now at dubaifitnesschallenge.com.

What the 30×30 asks of you

Thirty minutes a day. It does not have to happen in one block, it does not have to happen in a gym, and any activity counts. Walking the length of Kite Beach counts. So does a padel match, a swim or a yoga class in a park.

The four flagship events

Date Event Where / detail
Sun 1 Nov Dubai Ride Closed city roads. Presented by DP World
Sat 7 – Sun 8 Nov Dubai Stand-Up Paddle Hatta Dam. Presented by RTA
Sun 22 Nov Dubai Run Sheikh Zayed Road. 10km and 5km routes
Sun 29 Nov Dubai Yoga Second edition. Presented by MHERO

Dubai Ride opens the month on 1 November. Major roads close to traffic and fill with cyclists. More than 40,000 people rode it in 2025, over double the turnout of the first edition in 2020. You do not need a road bike.

Dubai Stand-Up Paddle runs on 7 and 8 November at Hatta Dam rather than anywhere in the city. Full detail in our Dubai Stand Up Paddle 2026 guide.

Dubai Run on 22 November is the headline event. Sheikh Zayed Road shuts and becomes the largest free running course anywhere. It drew 70,000 runners in 2019 and more than 307,000 in 2025. There is a 10km route and a 5km through Downtown, and a good share of the field walks it.

Dubai Yoga closes the challenge on 29 November, back for a second year.

All four are free, and each needs registering for separately.

Where to train for free

Three Fitness Villages run for the full 30 days, at Zabeel Park, Al Warqa’a Park and Kite Beach. Each has free classes through the day, dedicated ladies’ areas, and courts for basketball, football, padel and volleyball.

More than 23 Community Fitness Hubs are spread across the city, and thousands of free classes run city-wide across the month. Class timetables rotate week to week, so check the official site before travelling for a specific session.

How to register

  1. Sign up for the challenge at dubaifitnesschallenge.com. It is free.
  2. Register separately for each flagship event you want to join, on the same site.
  3. Do Dubai Run early. It fills its slots well before the day.
  4. Check the Fitness Village timetable for the week before you travel to one.

If you need kit, we rounded up Dubai’s homegrown activewear brands separately.

Other events during the challenge

The City Walk Halloween Run falls at the start of the month and doubles as an after-dark fun run. Mid-month, the DP World Tour Championship brings a Ladies and Family Day on 15 November. Global Village Season 31 is open throughout.
