Free K-Pop Concert in Dubai: Chung Ha and SHINee’s Onew Set for One-Night Show

Free K-Pop Concert in Dubai

Dubai is set to host a major free K-pop concert this January, bringing two internationally acclaimed artists to the city for a one-night-only performance. The event will feature Chung Ha and Onew, offering fans a rare chance to see both stars perform live outside South Korea.

When and Where

The concert will take place on Saturday, January 3, at Festival Bay, Dubai Festival City Mall, as part of the e& DSF Nights programme during the Dubai Shopping Festival.

  • Time: 8:30 PM
  • Entry: Free and open to the public

Given the popularity of both artists, fans are advised to arrive early to secure a good viewing spot.

Why This Line-Up Matters

Chung Ha rose to fame as a member of the project group I.O.I before establishing herself as a leading solo artist. She is known globally for hits such as Gotta Go, Snapping, and Roller Coaster, which together have generated over 80 million streams on Spotify. In 2025, she released her latest mini-album, Alivio, continuing her momentum as a solo performer.

Joining her is Onew, one of the main vocalists of SHINee, who has also built a successful solo career since 2022. His solo releases include O (Circle), Animals, and Beat Drum, and he recently launched his second full album, Percent.

A Rare One-Night Experience

The Dubai concert is a one-off event, making it a unique opportunity for regional fans to see both artists on the same stage. Performances of this scale featuring top-tier K-pop soloists are uncommon outside South Korea, adding to the significance of the show.

What to Expect

Set against the waterfront backdrop of Festival Bay, the concert is expected to attract a large crowd. With free entry, global stars, and the energy of the Dubai Shopping Festival, the event is shaping up to be one of the city’s biggest K-pop moments of the season.

For fans of Korean pop culture, January’s show also comes amid growing regional interest in K-pop events, with more large-scale concerts and cultural initiatives expected across the UAE in the months ahead.
